Case — 03
Occasional, 3 yearsI provided services to the hotel, handling marketing and communication requests, plus specific initiatives for its restaurants and bars. A project defined by strict international guidelines and close attention to the smallest details.
The hotel offers a range of dining options, each with its own concept and experience. I redesigned all the materials, print and digital, as well as the UX for browsing the menus inside the hotel's internal app. More than just design, this was a precision-driven project — one that demanded close attention to every detail of copy, pricing and information.
Besides the main restaurants, the project also covered the lobby and pool bars, the spa's delivery service, and the hotel's room service.
A handful of design projects for physical products, distributed to guests and staff. Most of the giveaways were tied to specific marketing campaigns.
Above, a collection of mousepads, mini chocolate packaging, a tote bag, coasters, a folder with brochures, and a notepad.
I created a vector illustration of a city map, highlighting the main points of interest for guests and designing a visual piece that made it easier to get oriented and explore the area around the hotel.
Besides designing the piece, I followed it through print production, supporting the Products team in the final execution stage.
I developed communication pieces for the hotel's elevators, including motivational stickers for staff in the service hall, plus the floor information panel and promotional pieces in the guest elevators.
I also oversaw the sticker production and on-site installation.
A selection of campaigns and communication materials, both print and digital, including banners, flyers and email marketing pieces.
Some of these materials were developed for specific tourist groups, with content and language adapted to each audience and its origin.
A hotel menu doesn't forgive mistakes: an outdated price or a dish that's no longer on offer turns into an immediate complaint. That's where I really honed precision as part of design.
From the app screen to the elevator sticker, the same brand needed to work across every surface and format. A constant exercise in thinking in systems, not standalone pieces.
I'm a Rio native, and the hotel sits right on Copacabana beach. Working on a luxury Marriott brand so close to home made the experience even more special!
The work with the hotel ended up extending well beyond the projects shown here. The contacts I built through this partnership led to new jobs, and I still keep a professional relationship today with the hotel's former Marketing director, who went on to work independently and has hired me for a few projects since.
